Today’s snippet from my brain is a brief tour of the London home of Raj and Viktor.
The images and story are fictional - I created the images using Midjourney AI, and the words are directly from my brain.
Raj and Viktor have been together for 12 years. They both have backgrounds in finance - Raj works for a venture capital firm, and Viktor works in private equity.
They met at a glitzy rooftop party of one of Viktor’s high-worth clients. The initial attraction was strong and absolutely undeniable. They started chatting about how they each knew the host, and the conversation lasted over an hour. Realising they had spent too long with each other for a party setting, they exchanged cards and separated. Both slept thinking of the other. Raj called Viktor the next day with a lunch invitation, and they’ve been together ever since.
Raj grew up in London, the son of two doctors with a long list of expectations that did not include him being gay. Viktor moved to London for university and stayed, leaving behind his home country where homosexuality is a punishable and often punished offense.
Raj and Viktor strongly prefer to keep their private lives separate from work. Though they live in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, neither has been able to fully shake off the emotional consequences of being born into familial and cultural stories that do not accept their full identities. At the same time, however, they know they are in privileged positions and they use that privilege for good. They donate heavily to a charity that supports gay immigrants in the UK from countries where homosexuality is illegal.
Given their backgrounds, neither Viktor nor Raj foresaw having a life partner as part of their life story. They found each other despite, and because of, all that. Last summer, after years of consideration, they decided to move forward with putting an official seal on their union. They will marry this summer, and they’ve redecorated their home to mark the beginning of this new phase together.
Their interior designer never had easier clients. Raj and Viktor’s relationship works smoothly because they have a deep and quiet understanding of each other, of themselves, and of how the world perceives them. They take refuge in each other and in their home. They are thrilled with the finished design, and are planning a big unveiling party for their friends and the few family members with whom they maintain a relationship.

We wish Raj and Viktor all the very best for their upcoming nuptials!
I'm impressed with the image of Raj & Victor, whenever I try and generate people they come out looking like something from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy - however there might be another backstory that needs to be written in that!
This is very sweet, and I gotta say, your interiors are scrumptious and renderings by Midjourney?! Wow!!!
