Indeed, the graffiti in the grey grey room may as well read "Evil overlord woz 'ere" 😂😂

I grew out my grey hair a few years ago and I had to change a lot of what I wear because of it. It works best with vibrant colours otherwise I can look really washed out. Bright red or a royal purple seem to work well. A soft girly pink is a gentler option.

I must say, I love the first room but it seems very sophisticated, like 'real grown ups' live there and I just don't know if I'll ever be one of those or if I even want to be...

So glad to hear someone understands!! :-D.

Interesting that you changed your wardrobe colours when you grew out your grey! Makes sense! I never dyed my hair so it happened gradually for me…and I don’t remember adjusting my clothes to the grey, but I may have just done it without noticing.

I think some people truly prefer neutrals because more vibrantly colourful rooms are too much stimulation. I think some others do neutrals because it is seen as more “adult”. I think the trick is being super clear on which colours bring us the feelings that we and our family members want, instead of making colour choices that are led by habit or unexamined convention.

It’s super fun exploring colours that I don’t normally use…expands my colour imagination and horizons in unexpected ways.

Happy weekend to you, Rahma! 🌈

We shall rue the day when the evil overlord zaps color from the world. Fun post Vanessa! I think those neutral rooms definitely work best with a little color accent.

I recently changed out my glasses frames after many years along with my hair getting ever more gray. Well, I went from light gray frames to black, but I think the black works much better now against that mane of gray. Perhaps one day I'll explore a more vibrant alternative.

Yes I can imagine the higher contrast for the darker glasses and grey hair would be more interesting and a better frame for one ‘s face. And yes... maybe next time it’s time to try high contrast + vibrant colour! My current glasses are orangey-peach in a funky shape & I had a red pair for years that I loved. Both times I wondered if I would get tired of them bc they were a bit different , but quite the opposite - they made and make me happy when I see them. Happy weekend to you!

I love the graffiti bedroom, I think any of my boys would have loved that. The pop of colour makes a huge difference ❤️

❤️ Thanks Suzi, I love that room too - so cool for a teenager! Maybe that room is in my future as a parent :-).

I have recently befriended greige too. But as a more peppy neutral backdrop to a bolder interior. Not all greiges - esp paint - are created equal. Some are beautiful and others are just...flat. It's a hard shade to fangirl when you prefer a larger infusion of color though. So I understand:) 😉

Indeed, that’s not a colour friendship I’ve into my life, …but I’ve never knows what the colour future brings!
